Last Saturday, more than 1,700 children and spouses of fallen service members from 84 cities worldwide traveled to Texas via nearly 60 chartered and commercial flights as part of Snowball Express. The all-expense-paid trip marks the 10th annual celebration, and is made possible by nearly 1,000 employee volunteers all across American Airlines Group, for whom Snowball becomes an emotional experience.
Envoy is an integral part of the celebration, operating Snowball Charter #10 this past weekend from Syracuse (SYR) to Pittsburgh (PIT) and down to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). And Envoy employees hosted special sendoff celebrations in a number of the departure airports and assisted with activities, all to make sure the Snowball Express families have an unforgettable experience.
