With more than thirty years of experience serving the customers of American Airlines, it was two years ago today that American Eagle Airlines became “Envoy” – and a busy two years it has been! As a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group, Envoy remains the largest regional airline serving American, operating nearly 800 flights a day to more than 150 destinations for American.
“In just two short years, we have successfully launched a new company name and brand identity, established our own Headquarters campus and welcomed a new aircraft type to the fleet,” said Pedro Fábregas, President and CEO. “We’ve also welcomed hundreds of new employees to the Envoy family, and continue to hire pilots, flight attendants and mechanics to serve our growing fleet.”
Most significantly, Envoy is undergoing a fleet renewal, with the ongoing arrival of 40 new Embraer 175 (E175) aircraft, and options for up to 90 more. The roomy 76-seat E175 aircraft features two class service, leather seating and full-size overhead bins, offering a seamless travel experience for customers connecting to American Airlines flights.
“We’ve now operated more than 2,300 flights with our new E175 aircraft without a single controllable cancellation,” added Pedro. “That kind of reliability – with a brand new aircraft – is outstanding, and is only possible with the commitment and hard work of everyone on the Envoy team. We may have changed our name, but we continue to provide the safest, most reliable and friendly service to our customers.”
Happy second anniversary, Envoy – here’s to many more!
